The Senator representing the good people of Benue South Senatorial District, Senator Comrade Abba Moro, has airs out the campaign against the spread of COVID-19 in Benue State and Nigeria at large.
In a radio broadcast on Wednesday night, the Senator informed the Zone C that ,the virus is real. He said, cases of the virus had been recorded in some states of the federation, including a case in Benue State. He appealed to the people to strictly abide by the safety measures recommended by the government and Health Officials, among which are social distancing, washing of hands with soap and water regularly, the use of alcohol-based hand sanitizer and the need to report every suspected case of COVID-19 to the appropriate health institutions.
The Senator who spoke in both English and Idoma language, was emphatic on cross-border movements, narrating that, those living in border communities should be aware of strangers and visitors who come in from other states. He appealed to his people to support the State Government and endure the measures being introduced to contails the virus, especially the social distancing and restrictions on religious and social gatherings.
Senator Moro added, he is working with Benue State and Federal Governments to ensure that the virus does not spread beyond the level it is, stress that, the safety of his his senatorial district is his major concern.
Senator Moro ended his broadcast with a charge and prayer, urging his people to be courageous. He said that whatever had a beginning must have an end, narrated that,there is popular saying ! Bed Bug that told its children to be patient, that the hot water would soon be cold.
The COVID-19 episodes that came from where we don’t know, by God’s grace as Ebola, Lassa etc came and left, Corona Virus will also leave us as fast as it came. He urged all the good people of zone C be prayerful.

The Doctors said no vaccine had been found for the virus yet, stressing the need for persaonal hygienic living and social distancing. He appealed to the people to heed to Senator Abba Moro’s call and follow the simple medical safety measures.he concluded.
